Several decades produced new TV series this week, but only a handful of them are memorable. 1983 saw the debut of a long running early morning news program that eventually morphed into a different early morning news program. 1993 had one failed sitcom, and 2003 had a multi-season kids game show. As usual, 2013 had the bulk of the new shows with the need to feed the large number of cable outlets (none of these new series aired on a traditional broadcast network). Most of them ran for one or two short seasons, but there was a three season UK crime drama, a fifteen season cooking competition, and a children’s cartoon series that is still running today and looks to have a bright future ahead. Read on to learn a little more about this week’s new series, and tell us which ones you remember!
