Does the woman in the photo look familiar? If you’re a die-hard American Horror Story fan who has followed the series from the beginning, you’ll recognize her as Marcy, the annoying realtor who sold the Harmons their haunted house in the first season.
Christine Estabrook is returning for season five in the same role, pictured showing the titular Hotel Cortez to fashion designer Will Drake (Cheyenne Jackson) and his son. Murphy also revealed that the show will return to the Murder House that started it all for one episode.
No word on if this takes place before, during or after the Harmons moved in, but wouldn’t it be nice to have a little cameo from Connie Britton, one of the few season one actors who has not returned for any of the other seasons due to her work on ABC’s Nashville? With Britton scoring a role in Murphy’s other anthology series American Crime Story: The People vs O.J. Simpson, it probably isn’t out of the realm of possibility for her to shoot a scene for AHS Hotel.
But the real question is who is Marcy and why does she seem to have all of these haunted properties as her listings?
