Spring is in the air and that means many of our favorite shows are running up against the clock as season finales approach. The CW has announced season finale dates for its prime time line up:
TUESDAY, APRIL 12
9:00 P iZombie
MONDAY, APRIL 18
8:00 P Crazy Ex-Girlfriend
FRIDAY, MAY 13
8:00 P The Vampire Diaries
MONDAY, MAY 16
9:00 P Jane the Virgin
THURSDAY, MAY 19
8:00 P DC’s Legends of Tomorrow
9:00 P The 100
FRIDAY, MAY 20
9:00 P The Originals
TUESDAY, MAY 24
8:00 P The Flash
WEDNESDAY, MAY 25
8:00 P Arrow
9:00 P Supernatural
In addition to the finale dates, the network has also revealed which shows will be returning next season … virtually ALL of them! Snagging renewals are Arrow (Season 5), The Flash (Season 3), The Vampire Diaries (Season 8), The Originals (Season 4), iZombie (Season 3), DC’s Legends of Tomorrow (Season 2), Supernatural (Season 12), The 100 (Season 4), Jane the Virgin (Season 3), Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (Season 2) and Reign (Season 4). Reign fans may be disappointed to learn Torrance Coombs, who plays Sebastian, is slated to end his time with the series this season as he has been cast in a new drama pilot for ABC, Still Star-Crossed (a new spin on Romeo and Juliet). He hinted in a tweet that we may not have seen the last of Bash, and should ABC not move forward with Still Star-Crossed, there is probably a door open for Coombs to return to Reign.
With Beauty and the Beast departing after this season, and America’s Next Top Model already ended (and revived at VH1), The CW has no room on its schedule for Whose Line Is It Anyway or Penn & Teller: Fool Us unless the network holds those shows as summer series. It will be interesting to see what the network does come the May upfronts.
