The week leading up to Christmas leaves very little in the way of new programming. Major networks are busy airing holiday specials and repeats, knowing regular viewers are busy this time of year. But that didn’t stop a cable network and a streaming service from trying to entice the kids heading into a holiday break from school with some new animated programming, albeit just in two decades. 2005 saw a Cartoon Network series ‘premiere’ with a sneak peek episode, and Netflix launched a prequel series to an animated feature film in 2015, minus all of the voice talent from the movie. Scroll down to see the shows that premiered this week, and tell us if you remember either of them.
