CBS, which had previously announced renewals for The Big Bang Theory and NCIS has also handed out renewals to eleven of its established series for the 2016-2017 season:
- BLUE BLOODS
- ELEMENTARY
- HAWAII FIVE-0
- MADAM SECRETARY
- MOM
- NCIS: LOS ANGELES
- NCIS: NEW ORLEANS
- SCORPION
- 2 BROKE GIRLS
- SURVIVOR
- THE AMAZING RACE
Conspicuously absent from that list are all first season shows including Supergirl, which may have its fate resting on the ratings generated from the crossover with The Flash and how the series sustains those ratings leading up to the season finale. We may not get any news of the show’s fate until the May upfronts when the networks present their fall schedules. Series also awaiting word on their chances for another season include Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, CSI: Cyber, Code Black, Criminal Minds, Life in Pieces, Limitless, The Odd Couple and Undercover Boss.
The network has already announced this year as the final seasons for Mike and Molly, Person of Interest and The Good Wife, and Angel From Hell was cancelled after airing only a handful of episodes.
