PBS’ Masterpiece and the BBC have jointly announced that the new Sherlock one-off special has a title and an air date. The 90-minute stand-alone film starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman is titled Sherlock: The Abominable Bride, and will premiere on January 1, 2015 in the US and the UK, a first for the series.
Masterpiece also confirmed that the fourth series of Sherlock will go into production in the Spring of 2016.
