Part Three featured the predictions in the categorries of Outstanding Actors and Actresses in Limited Series or TV Movies.

In this edition of the Emmy predictions, we’ll look at who will win for Outstanding Supporting Actors and Actresses in Comedy and Drama Series.

The nominees are:

  • Jonathan Banks – Better Call Saul: A great performance on a prestigious show.
  • Peter Dinklage – Game Of Thrones: He’s great but perhaps not his greatest season.
  • Kit Harrington – Game of Thrones: This was Kit’s time to shine and he did it well on the biggest show out there.
  • Michael Kelly – House of Cards: A subtle, careful performance that won’t be rewarded.
  • Ben Mendelsohn – Bloodline: A good performance on a boring show.
  • Jon Voight – Ray Donovan: This guy’s been around forever, but I think he’s not particularly great on the show.

A tight category, but I think Peter Dinklage wins again.

Who should win: Can’t be unhappy about Dinklage.

Who shouldn’t win: Michael Kelly and Ben Mendelsohn are not the top tier here.

Who might squeak by: Kit Harington has that buzz.

Who shouldn’t even have been nominated: Jon Voight if we must pick the weak link.

Who wuz robbed: Hmm, well there’s Christian Slater from Mr. Robot. And Jon Bernthal from Daredevil was amazing.

The nominees are:

  • Emilia Clarke – Game Of Thrones: She had a weaker year than others on Game of Thrones, but not bad.
  • Lena Headey – Game Of Thrones: Great stuff from Lena Headey, she’s always good.
  • Maggie Smith – Downton Abbey: She’s a legend and I’ve never seen the show.
  • Maura Tierney – The Affair: I know she’s great, but I don’t care for the show.
  • Maisie Williams – Game of Thrones: She had a pretty good season, even if her storyline wasn’t well written.
  • Constance Zimmer – UnREAL: She had a great villainous performance. Quite unusual.

It’s close here, but I think Maggie Smith will win.

Who should win: I’d prefer Lena Headey to win.

Who shouldn’t win: I mean … Maggie Smith has already won a lot.

Who might squeak by: Maisie WIlliams has some buzz.

Who shouldn’t even have been nominated: Oh, I don’t know … Emilia Clarke wasn’t the best on the show.

Who wuz robbed: The Leftovers had Regina King and Carrie Coon, both ignored. And really, with all the Game of Thrones love, where’s Sophie Turner? She had the most challenging stuff this season. Oh, and Alison Wright from The Americans, she was amazing.

The nominees are:

  • Louie Anderson – Baskets: He played a woman, I guess that’s “brave”?
  • Andre Braugher – Brooklyn Nine-Nine: He’s the killer straight man holding a great show together even better.
  • Tituss Burgess – Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Always great.
  • Ty Burrell – Modern Family: Please.
  • Tony Hale – Veep: He’s funny and did great work. No question on that.
  • Keegan-Michael Key – Key & Peele: Why him and not Jordan Peele? Who knows? Both are great though.
  • Matt Walsh – Veep: He’s very good in a thankless role. Perhaps he’ll steal it from Tony Hale.

This time I am calling it for Tony Hale.

Who should win: Andre Braugher was amazing.

Who shouldn’t win: Ty Burrell has had his day.

Who might squeak by: Louie Anderson might be considered a “special” vote.

Who shouldn’t even have been nominated: Ty Burrell has been nominated plenty.

Who wuz robbed: All the dudes from Girls.

The nominees are:

  • Anna Chlumsky – Veep: A master of dry wit and subtlety.
  • Gaby Hoffmann – Transparent: She’s good and weird. She won’t win.
  • Allison Janney – Mom: A great actress but an average show.
  • Judith Light – Transparent: Another old-schooler coming back.
  • Kate McKinnon – Saturday Night Live: She’s a star.
  • Niecy Nash – Getting On: A talented comedienne, but nobody knows who she is.

I’m surprised but I think Anna Chlumsky finally wins.

Who should win: I think Kate McKinnon kept SNL going.

Who shouldn’t win: Oh, they’re fine.

Who might squeak by: Kate McKinnon is big.

Who shouldn’t even have been nominated: Nobody is too off here.

Who wuz robbed: The ladies of Girls. Anybody from Orange is the New Black.

Leading roles in Comedy and Drama series is next.
